Photography book "AND I Believe"

"AND I Believe" features a selection of images captured over the course of my stay and during my trips across Indonesian islands from 2014 to 2016.
The places I visited in North and West Sumatra, Mentawai, Borneo, Java and the rest of Indonesia made me think about what it means to believe in something and evoked my interest in belief systems in general and the way how they might generate meaning and the value that is inherent in this meaning.
It is primarily the necessity and the urge to belong to some kind of belief group or the irresistible desire to create one's own belief which these photographs explore.
